Deforestation

Deforestation is from my first painting series, in that series I created 3D blobs that surrounded all areas of the canvas in various colors. This piece was one of the first ones that I decided to just do monochromatic, after reading that people prefer monochromatic work. So I decided to choose green, at this time I was still exploring the shades of each color and experimenting. During the flow state I realized that the empty spaces added to this particular piece. Then I realized that the blob like forms could be trees, after that I was thinking I should definitely leave the rest open symbolizing all of the trees that have been cut down. I love this asset in the white frame too! It definitely adds to the piece.
